At Scottish Greyhound Sanctuary we are constantly approached to take in and, in many cases, save a greyhound's life. There is a never ending flow of greyhounds needing homes once the racing industry has finished with them so consequently we have many greyhounds on our waiting list at any given time.
It currently costs us a minimum of £120 a month to board a single greyhound in kennels, which doesn't include any vet fees or neutering!
The gift you give of sponsoring a kennel will save the lives of many dogs and help look after them until they can be successfully re-homed. Every new kennel we provide will allow us to save approximately 10 greyhounds a year.
Our Sponsorship works in the following way; we have four kennels which we use for sponsorship, as a dog gets re-homed another hounds takes it's place in the kennel. So you are not just sponsoring an one dog, who could be homed quite quickly, but are sponsoring a kennel in which many dogs should come and go throughout the year!
You can choose which kennel number you would like to sponsor for the year and will receive updates on all the dogs that stay in your chosen kennel throughout the year.
As a kennel sponsor you will become a named sponsor on our website and bi-annually in our newsletter, you will receive photos and updates of the dogs in your chosen kennel, a car window sticker, and access to a special private section on the SGS forum.
